What to use for a flat pelmet valance

Bay window pelmet
Hi I am making a flat pelmet for a bay window - do I use the normal buckram which s usually placed inside pinch pleats then cover with a thin foam for bulk, then interlining, linng and fabric.
Then velcro at he top too for fixing to board. Or should I use the heavier hessian buckram instead for stiffness ? Thank you
To start with I have added a photo of a bay window pelmet I fitted today. I made this one from none of the things you mention other than using velcro (hook and loop tape) to hold it in place.
Using buckram or hessian just is not a good way to make this kind of window treatment. It just does not like to hang in a straight line. It wants to curve and twist.
I have a free report you can download that shows you what materials I use to make my pelmets. Also how I go about fitting them over a window.
Click on the link just here Free pelmet making guide and go to the page with the download link.
With a bay pelmet you will need to make it in sections to allow it to bend to the shape of your window.
I hope this helps you get started with your project.
