Easy No Sew Tie Up Shades

Super easy tie up shades that anyone can make in no time at all. The best thing about these fantastic looking valance window treatments is that they are no sew window treatments.

That's right no hand sewing and no using a sewing machine. You can make these simple window treatments in about an hour once you have everything ready to start.

For these fabric window treatment ideas you will need a full width of fabric (usually 54 inches wide). By a length of roughly 1 yard of fabric. Use more for longer windows and a little less for shorter windows.

I find ebay a great place to pick up short pieces of really great for not very much. That's where I got the fabric I used in this curtain making video just below.

You will also need drapery accessories such a wide ribbon or fabric bands. You will need two lengths at 2 yards approximately.

What Visitors Say

"Dear Lee, Just wanted to say I found your site last week and it was an absolute godsend. Most helpful and informative - easy to follow instructions - and my very first bay window pelmet looks like the work of a true (and expensive) professional!

The pelmet and curtains both look much better in real life than on the photo of course. My wife thinks it all looks the work of a real pro rather than a first time amateur! Many many thanks for your site.

Kind regards Neal"
